About me
Catherine Bakker lives and works in Mammern. Her studio is located in a large industrial hall next to the "Kunstwerkstatt Mammern".
She is the daughter of Dutch artist parents and has been working as a freelance artist for almost 25 years .
Since spring 2017 she has lived exclusively from art .

CAT was born in French-speaking Switzerland and grew up in Rickenbach in the canton of Lucerne.

Since 2011 she has lived by the Untersee near Stein am Rhein.

She is in a happy relationship with Herbert Näf, www.finschliff.ch .

She finds inspiration for new creations on longer trips at home and abroad as well as on hikes in nature.
She travels a lot with her mobile studio, her VW bus, and paints and sketches nature and people.

Autodidact with training and further education with Max Wili Meierskappel artist and graphic designer (sel.) as well as the HSLU and with various artists.
Lecturer & course leader for adults and children.

Various activities as a housing consultant and decorator.
1988 KV degree in Sursee, until 2017 various positions in the commercial sector.
